Gout-Is There A Cure?

Gout is just one of approximately  150 different conditions referred to as arthritis.  It   is a metabolic disorder which could cause  terrible  pain and swelling.

Gout is a type  of arthritis that invokes  intense bursts of joint pain and affects millions of people, with men being the most susceptible .

Gout is more common in men than in women  and is characterized by sudden, burning pain and swelling. Gout  often  attacks the big  toe.

The tendency of gout is  to be more severe in people who experience  symptoms before the age of 30 . People who suffer from gout who  also have diabetes or kidney problems may  find that their attacks of gout could be  more frequent.

Many  people have the feeling  that the curse of gout is an entirely self-inflicted condition suffered  by glutton and over indulgence , just like royals and the aristocracy of old. People  now know that this is not the whole story.

Gout is a chronic condition caused  by an out of control  metabolic disorder, hyperuricemia, leading to the deposition of mono sodium urate (uric acid) crystals in tissue around  the joint. Too much uric acid in the blood is what hyperuricemia means.  Purine nucleotide catabolism produces uric acid.

Tests  show that almost 1% of all the adults might  experience  symptoms of gout at some time  during  their lives. Left untreated, frequent attacks of gout may  lead to joint deformity and in some cases damage to other organs.

Is there a gout cure?

Most  would describe gout as an incurable disease, as they would with most  illnesses   associated with arthritis, and this may  be correct  if taken literally, however if we treat the underlying issues contributing to gout,  then all symptoms of gout can be irradiated. There are medical, dietary, alternative, and lifestyle approaches to treating gout (or the underlying contributing factors of gout).

Why risk using harmful drug therapies, when gout could  indeed be successfully treated using a combination of simple lifestyle changes. Simple alterations  to diet  will defiantly  help. In fact, several everyday items you may already have in your kitchen could  successfully get rid of  uric acid crystal deposits from a person’s  joints when taken correctly.  One can successfully treat one’s own gout,  if they find the right approach , even if gout was passed down through a family gene.
