3 Common Causes of Joint Pain in Elbow

1. Elbow fractures. Injuries from falls, sports, and so on can cause fractures in elbows. The two most common types of fractures are olecranon fractures and radial head fractures. The olecranon fracture involves a small break in the “funny bone,” at one end of one of the forearm bones. One of the most common causes is the triceps muscle removing a piece of the elbow’s bone. Meanwhile, radial head fractures are the most common bone fractures in elbows. Shaped like a disc, the radial head is a key component for the elbow’s movement. Falling on an extended hand usually causes the tiny break.
