Though our toes are one of the smallest parts of our bodies, they two can feel a big ache or two. Here are some of the most common causes of toe joint pain.

1. Gout. Gout is one of the most painful varieties of arthritis. It results in symptoms like warmth, redness, softness, puffiness, and so on. Gout can affect various parts of the body, including the toes. This condition results from extra uric acid accumulating in the body. The origins can be certain medications and foods rich in purine. This causes uric acid crystals to appear on various joints, such as in toes.
