1. The initial symptom is aches at the thumb’s base. When you feel softness in that region while lifting, squeezing, or grasping, then you may be experiencing arthritis. Not only could you experience twinges when doing these actions, but you could also have problems performing the actions themselves. Furthermore, you may experience aching in this finger even when you aren’t utilizing it. Afterwards, you could experience soreness in the area. Usually, it’s the first finger that becomes stiff. As it does so, your range of motion decreases dramatically.

Pain – Finger Joints Heal

The joints of the fingers are commonly referred to as knuckles.  They are very small when compared to the other joints of the body.  The arrangement of joints and ligaments is complex.  This means you will feel even the slightest inflammation as stiffness.  Just because the joints are small does not mean you won’t feel pain.  Finger joints that are inflamed can result in excruciating pain.  Those who suffer from this pain have described the pain as shooting.

When we feel pain the first thing we want to do is take pain killers.  This is understandable because pain is hard to bear.  This is especially so when we have daily responsibilities to attend to.  However, it is advisable not to overdo the pain killers.  This is because pain killers will mask the pain and may lead us to overuse our fingers.  We do this by lifting heavy weights or unscrewing tightly fitted lids.
